The first Wedding by the Sea

2011

In 2011, the story of the Nunta La Mare was born

in a dreamlike setting, under the rays of the sun reflecting off the waves of the Black Sea. Oana and Alex, the couple who sparked this adventure, were the true muses of the concept. With a charming religious ceremony on the golden sands of Vama Veche, followed by a thrilling party and a beach bonfire, their wedding was more than an event, it was an experience.

Event Details

The specific challenges we faced at Oana and Alex’s wedding ranged from logistics to the finer details of customization. Coordinating suppliers for a party that lasted three days was a real race against the clock. Also, planning a religious ceremony on the beach was a novel experience at a time when such ceremonies were rarely seen, especially on the beach in Vama Veche. It was definitely one of the most watched ceremonies of all the ones we organized :) One big challenge was managing the unpredictable weather conditions. We quickly learned that a backup plan is essential when nature decides to make its presence felt.

The ceremony was a symphony of contrasts, where the calming palette of ivory and turquoise intertwined with the vibrant hue of the sunflower. This combination perfectly captured the essence of the sea: tranquil, yet at the same time, wild. At the tables, the tones of ivory and turquoise created an atmosphere of refinement and relaxation, amplified by floral accents in orange, yellow, and green. The sunflowers, with their golden-yellow petals, symbolized happiness and optimism, while the Asiatic lilies added a note of exoticism and passion. The details made the difference: napkins accessorized with starfish, candles that decorated not only the tables but the entire venue, adding a touch of magic and centrepieces created on cylinders within which three little fish danced harmoniously. Every element of the decor was carefully chosen, from the colors used to the flowers, and other moments like the bonfire and the launching of lanterns, which symbolized happiness and love. Everything was aligned to create a truly unique experience.
